Terms of Service

1. The Service

HideMy.pics lets you embed files inside a decoy image, extract hidden files, optionally password-protect payloads, create temporary share links, and send stego images by email. No user account is required.

2. Intellectual property

You may not copy, clone, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, design, or functionality of the Service. You may not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service except through the normal browser interface at hidemy.pics. You may not frame, mirror, or republish the Service or use its API from unauthorized third-party sites or applications.

3. Lawful use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for all content you hide, extract, share, or send. You may not use the Service to distribute illegal material, malware, content that infringes others' rights, or to harass, threaten, or defraud anyone.

4. Your responsibility

We do not review file contents. We are not responsible for how you use the Service or for the actions of anyone who obtains a share link you create. Do not rely on the Service as your only copy of important data.

5. Processing and retention

We do not maintain user accounts or a permanent library of your files. Hide and reveal operations use temporary server storage removed when processing finishes.

If you create a share link, the stego image is stored temporarily. All share links expire after one hour. Read-once links are also deleted after the first download; timed links allow unlimited downloads until the hour ends. Share links are accessible to anyone with the URL until they expire.

6. Email feature

If you send a stego image by email, you represent that you have permission to contact the recipient and that the content is lawful. We are not responsible for delivery failures, recipient misuse, or mailbox filtering.

7. No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Steganography may not survive re-encoding, compression, or upload to social platforms and messaging apps. We do not guarantee that hidden data will remain recoverable.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of HideMy.pics shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of data, unauthorized access to share links, service interruption, or reliance on the Service for secure storage.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operators of HideMy.pics from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or restrict access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including abuse, security concerns, or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be brought in the courts of Delaware, except where prohibited by applicable law.
